Nurse Extern Program
United Regional’s Nurse Extern Program offers senior nursing students a hands-on opportunity to learn alongside experienced nurses in a dynamic, supportive clinical environment.
What You’ll Experience
Designed to build confidence and clinical skills, this program helps prepare students for a successful transition into professional nursing practice.
You will work side by side with highly skilled RN preceptors who guide and support your learning experience. Through direct patient care and mentorship, you will:
- Build self-confidence in a real-world clinical setting
- Strengthen communication and critical-thinking skills
- Improve time-management abilities
- Enhance overall clinical competence
Program Details
- Schedule: Full time, following your preceptor’s schedule
- Length: Six-week, temporary summer position
- Dates: June 29 – August 7, including orientation and training
- Compensation: Paid position
- Clinical Areas: A variety of unit specialties available
