Since 1997, United Regional has continuously received accreditation from the College of American Pathologists (CAP). We offer a full spectrum of respiratory diagnostics and therapies. Our respiratory therapists work under physician supervision to treat patients across all age groups — from premature infants to senior adults.

Arterial Blood Gas Analysis 

Arterial blood gas analysis measures how effectively the lungs deliver oxygen and remove carbon dioxide. This test helps evaluate both respiratory and metabolic status and is ordered by a provider. It is a critical tool in assessing lung function and guiding treatment decisions.

Complete Pulmonary Function Testing

Pulmonary function tests assess how well the lungs move air and exchange gases. These tests include spirometry, lung volumes, and diffusing capacity, helping diagnose and monitor lung diseases, evaluate treatment effectiveness, and determine surgical readiness.

Spirometry Testing

Spirometry is the most common pulmonary function test. It measures the volume and flow of air during inhalation and exhalation, helping diagnose and assess the severity of conditions like COPD. The test involves deep breathing and full exhalation, with results analyzed by a spirometer.
