Bone Densitometry
A DEXA scan — also known as a DXA scan — stands for dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry. This imagining test measures your bone density. It helps detect:
- Osteoporosis - a condition in which bones become weak and brittle, increasing the risk of fractures.
 - Osteopenia - a condition in which bone density is lower than normal but not low enough to be considered osteoporosis.

Please get a referral from your provider before scheduling this test.
