Pediatrics
Pediatrics is an acute care setting for patients from newborns to age 17. We provide treatment for child illnesses, injuries, post-surgical recovery, and pain management.
Advanced Pediatric Care with United Regional
United Regional is committed to giving children in our community access to advanced medical technology and compassionate care from our expert pediatric nurses and providers — to keep them healthy and strong.
Your Child’s Health and Wellbeing
We’re dedicated to quickly diagnosing and treating your child. Most admissions to our pediatric services department happen in one of the following ways:
- Through the emergency room
- Directly by your child’s primary care pediatrician
- By an ear, nose and throat (ENT) specialist
- After surgery
We know how important families are to a child’s healing. That’s why we welcome your presence, value your support, and encourage you to take part in your child’s care. Ask as many questions as you need — we want you to feel confident in understanding your child’s condition and our care plan.
Our Dedication to your Child’s Wellbeing
Safety & Confidentiality
Your child’s safety is our top priority. Our pediatric unit is carefully monitored and equipped to support a secure, healing environment. We’ll keep you informed about your child’s condition throughout their stay. However, to protect your child’s privacy, we do not share medical information over the phone.
Games and Activities
When your child is feeling better, they’re welcome to enjoy our playroom. It’s stocked with toys, books, puzzles, movies, and video games to help them feel more at home.
Important Tips
- Bring your child’s favorite toy or blanket from home. Please label all items with your child’s name.
- Be honest with your child. Always say goodbye before leaving.
- Ask your child’s nurse for help explaining what’s happening and why.
- It’s okay to take breaks. If you need to step away, give yourself permission to do so—without guilt.
We’re here for both you and your child. We hope your stay is as comfortable as possible
