Olawunmi Lawal, MD

Dr. Olawunmi Lawal practices internal medicine at United Regional Physician Group.

Dr. Lawal went to medical school at the College of Medicine University of Lagos in Nigeria. She then completed her residency at the Harlem Hospital Center in New York, an affiliate of Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons. She practiced in South Dakota for about five years before relocating to Wichita Falls to be closer to family. Dr. Lawal was drawn to the small-town atmosphere and wanted to raise a family in this area.

Dr. Lawal has always been interested in internal medicine. She treats patients with various chronic medical problems such as hypertension, diabetes, depression and anxiety. Dr. Lawal appreciates the opportunity to work with patients from different stages of life. She has a natural gift of counseling and enjoys helping people.
