Kara Willden, APRN, FNP C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in hematology and oncology with United Regional Physician Group.
Willden earned her associate degree in nursing from Vernon College in Wichita Falls, TX, before completing her bachelor’s degree at the University of Texas at Arlington in Arlington, TX and her master’s degree at Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX. She brings extensive healthcare experience, including critical care experience in the Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department.
Willden is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals navigating complex medical diagnoses. As a Wichita Falls native, she was drawn to hematology and oncology through personal experiences supporting loved ones through their cancer journeys. These experiences gave her a deep appreciation for both the emotional and clinical aspects of treatment. They continue to inspire her to guide patients and their families through some of life’s most challenging moments with clarity and reassurance.
Willden values the opportunity to build strong relationships with her patients and supports them through every stage of their care with empathy, education, and continuity of care. Outside of work, Willden enjoys reading, watching sports, and spending time with her son and extended family.
