Dr. Jordan Teel is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and hip preservation with United Regional Physician Group.
Dr. Teel earned her undergraduate degree from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where she also played collegiate volleyball, before attending Texas A&M University College of Medicine in College Station. She completed her residency in orthopedic surgery at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, where she served as a team physician for the Volleyball Nations League professional women’s volleyball team and the Professional Bull Riders circuit. Dr. Teel then pursued a fellowship in sports medicine at the world-renowned Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado, training under leading experts in orthopedic sports medicine and serving as a physician for the United States Women’s Ski Team.
Dr. Teel is passionate about restoring mobility and helping patients return to the activities they love. Her clinical interests include joint preservation, minimally invasive procedures, and personalized treatment plans for athletes of all levels — from weekend warriors to elite competitors. She is specially trained in hip arthroscopy, a minimally invasive technique used to treat injuries in and around the hip joint, which can delay or prevent the need for hip replacement surgery. Dr. Teel also continues to serve as a team physician for the United States Ski and Snowboard Team. She believes in a patient-centered approach that begins with understanding each individual’s goals and lifestyle.
Dr. Teel emphasizes education and shared decision-making, offering both surgical and non-surgical options to improve quality of life. Her goal is to guide patients through recovery with clarity and compassion, helping them regain confidence and return to the activities that matter most.
