Jackson Thorne
Sixteen-year-old Jackson Thorne began experiencing debilitating shoulder pain. His mother, Kerre, took Jackson to United Regional’s Orthopedics Express, where an x-ray revealed a concerning spot on Jackson’s shoulder. He was soon diagnosed by an orthopedic oncologist with osteosarcoma, a rare and aggressive bone cancer. Jackson underwent surgery to remove his scapula and has since completed chemotherapy treatments. Jackson is expected to regain around 90 degrees of motion in his shoulder. Jackson expressed his gratitude, saying, “Without Orthopedics Express, I would never have gotten put on the path I’m on now, to be able to get better and to be able to get back to a normal life.”
