Bio:

Dr. Rebecca Schrass is a highly experienced and dedicated pharmacist. She received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from West Virginia University and her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Schrass began her career as a clinical pharmacist in 1993. Over the course of her career, she has held various roles at multiple hospital locations, including antimicrobial and renal dosing program developer, order set developer, pharmacy representative to multidisciplinary teams, and pharmacy clinical coordinator. Her areas of interest include infectious disease and critical care. From 2015 to 2018, Dr. Schrass held credentials as an advanced practice pharmacist specializing in infectious disease. In 2018, Dr. Schrass transitioned to the Informatics Pharmacist position at United Regional, playing a pivotal role in collaborating with colleagues to enhance and develop United Regional's electronic health record system, ensuring efficient and accurate medication ordering processes. She holds certifications in Epic Inpatient Willow and Epic Inpatient Pharmacist Clinical Tools Builder. Currently, her primary role involves crafting clinical support tools within the Epic system, empowering pharmacists, providers, and nurses to distribute medications safely and effectively, ultimately contributing to enhanced patient outcomes. She is a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) and has served as a preceptor at multiple locations. Dr. Schrass and her husband settled in Texas after moving around the country during her husband’s military service. In her free time, she enjoys serving at her church, hiking, and playing tennis.
