Paul Black has an extensive background as a practicing clinical pharmacist at United Regional Health Care System. After graduating from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1999, Paul began his pharmacy career at United Regional. In 2001, he transitioned his focus of providing pharmaceutical care to the outpatient population at local clinic and retail settings. During that time, he developed keen attention to detail and robust patient interaction skills. In 2005, he returned to United Regional, where he eagerly pursued experiences within an inpatient setting. Since returning, Paul has dedicated himself to growing his knowledge of pharmacotherapies in various care areas and successfully acquired Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy from the Board of Pharmacy Specialties in 2012. Paul has worked in all areas of United Regional’s Pharmacy Department. His care for patients receiving chemotherapy and outpatient infusions has been instrumental. He is involved with Diabetes Management and has contributed positively to organizational practices through his efforts with multidisciplinary teams. Outside of his dedication to the Pharmacy Department, Paul is an avid lover of music. He was a band member throughout high school and college, and now he enjoys being a member of the percussion section of the Wichita Falls Symphony.
