Interpreter services are available for patients in many languages. If your English is limited, your nurse can access a medical interpreter for you. If you are speech or hearing impaired, we will provide an interpreter who signs American Sign Language, via an internet webcam or in person. TDD (Telecommunication Device for the Deaf) phones and closed captioning televisions are also available for those with hearing impairments.

United Regional Health Care System provides free aid and services to people with disabilities and free language services to people whose primary language is not English, to communicate effectively with us, such as:

○ Qualified sign language interpreters
○ Written information in other formats (large print, audio, accessible electronic formats, other formats)
○ Qualified interpreters
○ Information written in other languages
